In this study, it was tried to understand how symbolisation and the thinking apparatus were affected as a result of intense anxieties about the loss and absence of the object in a latent period case through drawing tests as a projective method; basically, it was thought that the difficulty in processing emotions and impulses, the absence of thought, the inadequacy of parental functions and the inability of the repression defence mechanism to function were the obstacles to the development of mental life.
