The latter, confronted with the old age of their spouse or parents, are themselves precipitated in a story that seems foreign to them and of which they know the fatal outcome. Based on testimonies collected in the context of groups of words intended for family caregivers but also, resulting from research involving family caregivers, the author points out the specific issues related to aging in and family, generating suffering and/or pleasure.
