In the present study, the mourning after the loss of a parent and the projection of the bereavement period on the Rorschach and TAT tests are discussed. The case is a 17 year old adolescent girl, who has suicidal attempts and depressive symptoms. The difficulties of the adolescence period, the inability to make the transition from childhood to adulthood, the presence of an actual loss ?the loss of the father? and the problems of identification with mother can be accepted as the determinants of the responses to the tests.
