Latency period is considered as a developmentally traquil, less impulsive period and constitutes a preparatory step to the turbulent adolescence. Nevertheless, early puberty at latency period tends to increase in recent years due to actual changing circumstances. In this paper, the possible causes of early puberty are discussed, in thhe context of the increased exposure of children to sexual and agressşce metarial on media as well as the changing structure of the family.
