    Summary :

This article aims to highlight the function of transient perversions, also called perverse developments, at a particular period of life: adolescence. The study will particularly focus on the behavior of men cross-dressing as woman. After studying the contributions psychoanalytic theory in order to understand the etiology of perversions, the article will examine the psychopathological specificities of men who cross-dress. A clinical case study of a young 14 year old cross-dresser will be introduced, shedding light on the subject. The Rorschach and the TAT tests will help illuminate the psychic functioning of this young teenager and provide elements to understanding cross- dressing behavior. In this adolescent, they reveal material relations, massively marked with aggression and the desire for death, especially towards the paternal figure. The defenses are mostly neurotic and not very operative, but the classic mechanisms of adult perversions such as faults or denial aren't identified. They constitute what adolescent psychopathologists call perverse developments, or transient perversion components of various psychic functioning, even though they are often associated with borderline and narcissistic personalities. This transient perversion in adolescence is an attempt to exorcize a particularly threatening and self-destructive violence. It can be a transitional defensive moment, an evolutionary passage into adolescence, differentiating it from adult perversions, and thus does not presuppose the evolution towards a more perverse person.
