Using fragments of discourse taken from Rorschach and TAT protocols, the author proposes to draw a prototype portrait of a genuine perverse organization, one which constitutes a specific entity within the borderline structure (as defined by Bergeret) and which combines sexual and relational perversion. The examples allow the author to illustrate, among other phenomena, the part object relation and the predominance of mastery, the disavowal of sexual differences and the importance of transgression of commonly accepted rules and values. Literary extracts are also provided to differentiate this perverse organization from perverse behaviour which can graft itself onto an underlying psychotic structure and thus defend against the latter
