    Summary :

The authors examine issues relating to diagnosing psychosis on projective tests, especially when symptomatic manifestations do not suggest such pathology. The exclusive recourse to a symptomatological approach, as well as various collective representations and countertransference phenomena can lead to the nonrecognition of an underlying psychotic functioning. Several case studies will illustrate the essential contribution of projective tests to the evidencing of this psychotic structure and its impact on treatment and evolution.
